Matriarch Lost: A Cypher Short

It's been a while, but we have not been idle here at CWG. For the last several months, we've been cooking up something a bit different from our usual fare. We are very pleased to announce our latest adventure: Matriarch Lost.

Unlike most of our adventures, Matriarch Lost is not set in a fictional world, and it does not cover fictional issues. Matriarch Lost is set in our world, and the story is grounded in the very real, very serious issue of animal poaching.

The adventure begins with the party being arriving at the aftermath of an attack on an elephant herd. The PCs have been tasked with locating the herd's matriarch, one of the last Iconic Female elephants in the region. While this story is purely fiction, the issue it highlights is not. According to the International Fund for Animal Welfare, "elephants are one of the most heavily poached mammals in the world".

This adventure was written in the hopes of raising awareness of what is going on in our world. We here at Crazy Weasel Gaming believe strongly in the preservation of Earth's flora and fauna, and Matriarch Lost is our attempt to contribute to the fight for the protection of endangered species. Rather than listing Matriarch Lost as a PWYW product, we have listed it as a free product.
