Morrion's Mind-Stone
Near the end of the Age of Marvels, a dwarvish True Speaker named Morrion found his memory had begun to fail. Fearing that the loss of memory would mean a diminishing of his power, the elderly dwarf crafted the Mind-Stone. This artifact, resembling a humanoid brain made of sapphire, was designed to serve as a vessel for memories and knowledge. The True Speaker used the stone to store not only his memories but also the True Names Morrion had collected over his lifetime. When the Age of Silence began, Morrion’s fortress collapsed, and the True Speaker was killed instantly. The Mind-Stone was recovered, and over the millennia would pass from owner to owner until it faded from history.
Now, the Player Characters (PCs) have tracked the Mind-Stone to a ruined dwarven fortress deep beneath the earth.

Matriarch Lost: A Cypher Short
TRIGGER WARNING: This adventure contains themes and imagery related to animal cruelty, poaching, and violence. Readers may encounter descriptions of traumatic wildlife encounters, injury, and the aftermath of poaching incidents. Please proceed with caution if these topics may be distressing.
October. It’s Rainy Season in the Serengeti-Maasai Mara Ecosystem. The animals of the region have begun their seasonal migration to the freshly renewed rivers and watering holes.
A scientist for one of the local preserves was monitoring the tracking collars of one of the preserve’s elephant herds when they noticed that the herd had scattered in all directions.
Though it is out of season, the park suspects poaching; nothing else would scatter a herd like this. The park’s resources were already stretched thin, so they called in experts from other neighboring preserves to assist in reuniting the herd. The PCs are a team recruited from one of these preserves. They may or may not have worked together before, but they at least
know of each other.
Their task: Locate the herd’s Matriarch, one of the 5 remaining “Iconic Females” in Africa.
How the Grouch Robbed Father Winter
The PCs are members of the Gob Squad, a self-named “crew of goblin adventurers, liberators of the Golden Bucket, and survivors of the Ruinfall.” They have been “hired” by the Grouch after being captured while trying to rob him. The Grouch wants the Gob Squad to steal the first present of Mid-Winter from Father Winter’s vault. If they succeed, they live to rob another day. If they fail, they will serve as the Grouch’s roast feast.
