Initial Playtest

Well Met, travellers,

If you follow our Instagram you saw that we revealed a working cover of our most recent project. Last night we ran a play test for our animal conservation adventure.

From my perspective as the game master a lot of the scenarios and encounters work very well together and when combined with specific dice rolls there was a good flow. The play test was run with two player characters and unfortunately these characters were not able to find a happy ending to the adventure. This is intentional design, as the outcome of the adventure should be dependent on the actions taken by the PCs.

We got a lot of really good feedback that is being put into action as we head into the next draft of the adventure. One suggestion we got was to give the player characters a sense of urgency that is clear from the beginning. To this end, we are in the process of developing a tension mechanic that will be adjusted by the actions players take in each encounter. We are also revising the opening scene of the adventure to be a little more immersive and to adjust the inciting incident that sets the players on their path.

We look forward to sharing more as the project develops

Farewell and stay safe,

~Crazy Weasel
